Linda Hirshman Wants to Know "Where Are the Jobs for Women?"

We noticed this op-ed piece http://www.nytimes.com/2008/12/09/opinion/09hirshman.html?_r=1&scp=1&sq=jobs%20for%20women&st=cse in the New York Times last week, reminding President-elect Obama that his economic stimulus plan for more jobs needs to "include more jobs in fields like social work and teaching, where large numbers of women work."

It's common knowledge that no political initiative escapes questions of how gender, race and class will be accounted for and considered, but we are conflicted about this particular op-ed. Give it a read. What's your reaction?
