Letizia Zindell - Rutgers MSW Student
We have just learned of the death of Rutgers MSW student Letizia Zindell this past week. Our thoughts are with her family and friends. We are saddened to know that another life has been lost to domestic violence. A Star-Ledger article can be found here.

How very tragic. I have been working for more than 25 years in Domestic Violence, and this is still too common a scenario. Victims are often in the most danger when they have separated from their abusers. This is often "why she stays", and why we must always respect the victim's assessment of what may or may not be safe for her. As a Rutger's MSW graduate, and someone who is teaching a Domestic Violence Course in a college setting, this is one more example of how much further we have yet to go in our work.
